enGate Me (“the App”) helps Shopify merchants control access to their online store. This policy explains what we collect when a merchant installs the App and how storefront visitors are affected.
The App does not collect, store or share personal information about your customers. Age confirmations and password access are remembered only in the visitor's own browser (local storage). Password attempts are rate-limited using the visitor's IP address, held temporarily in cache for about one minute and never stored with other data. The App reads Shopify's “customer is logged in” flag on the storefront but does not receive customer names, emails or orders.
Only to provide and support the App: applying your gates, showing your settings in the admin, billing through Shopify and contacting you about your account.
We do not sell or rent data. Data is shared only with Shopify (as part of operating the App) and our hosting provider.
When you uninstall, the access token is deleted immediately and gates stop working. Shopify then sends a shop-redaction request and we permanently delete your store's settings and passwords. Shopify customer data requests and customer redaction requests are acknowledged; as we hold no customer data there is nothing to export or erase.
You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. If you are in the EEA or UK you also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
